René Cagnat

Born in 1942 in Madagascar, having traveled around the world during my career as officer and diplomat, nothing predisposed me to Central Asia. If I have finally settled there - I live in Kyrgyzstan for nearly fifteen years now - is that it has become the most beautiful and fascinating of counties for me.

For thirty years, I never ended studying and go through this mini-continent hidden at the edge of deserts and mountains, to better understand the secret alchemy that creates a type of man from a climate, an errence or a region.
